Raise a Concern

You can speak up in a way that feels right for you.

If something doesn’t feel right at work, you can tell us about it.

You may have experienced something yourself, witnessed something happening to someone else, or have a concern about the way something is being handled.

You don’t need to know exactly what your concern is called or which policy applies. We’re here to listen and help you understand your options.

How would you like to speak up?

Openly

You are happy for Clear Voice Guardian to know who you are and to contact you about your concern.

Confidentially

You would like to tell Clear Voice Guardian who you are, but want your identity treated confidentially.

Anonymously

You don’t want to provide your identity.

If you choose to remain anonymous, we may have less ability to ask follow-up questions, provide updates or offer support.

What can I speak up about?

You can speak to us about anything that you believe needs to be heard, understood or addressed.

This might include:

  • Patient or service-user safety
  • Working practices
  • Bullying or harassment
  • Discrimination or unfair treatment
  • Behaviour or relationships at work
  • Leadership or management
  • Safeguarding
  • Concerns about how previous concerns have been handled
  • Risks or issues that could affect others
  • Ideas for improving your workplace

You don’t need to prove your concern before you contact us.

Before you submit

Please only provide information that is relevant to your concern.

Do not include unnecessary patient-identifiable or other sensitive personal information.

If someone is in immediate danger or there is an urgent risk to safety, please follow your organisation’s emergency or safeguarding procedures.

What happens next?

Once your concern has been received, a Clear Voice Guardian will review the information and consider the appropriate next steps.

Where we have a way to contact you, we may contact you to clarify information, discuss your options or provide an update.

We will explain how your information will be handled and what confidentiality means before you submit your concern.
